Drop Spots: Severe Tornadoes Have Hit Alabama! Supplies Needed!

They are collecting water, snacks, and plywood, and are working with other agencies to assist families.
If you know of people who need assistance, refer them to NorthPark. If you know of people who want to volunteer, tell them to go to NorthPark at 8:00 a.m. They will organize and send out crews from there.

·       CHELSEA DROP SPOT: Palm Beach Tan in Chelsea is gladly accepting donations for tornado victims. Things needed: feminine hygiene products, pampers, wipes, canned food, can openers, toothpaste, shampoo, razors, soap, hand sanitizer, garbage bags- heavy duty ones, plastic totes, panties, underwear, socks, tshirts- NEW Underwear- packaged.
DEERFOOT PKWAY DROP SPOT:
Piggly Wiggly parking lot is a drop spot for supplies.
MONTGOMERY DROP SPOT: Drop point in Montgomery is goodwin animal hospital and pet resort....11485 chantilly pkwy.....by cucos mexican restaurant.

OAK GROVE DROP SPOT: Smithville Baptist Church on Toadvine Road for victims and workes in Oak Grove. Snacks, Canned Food, Gatorade, powerade, Water.
PINSON DROP SPOT: contact Cindy 4500 Brittany Circle Pinson, or call 680 5833...have a truck and can take whatever we get in way of donations!!

SHELBY COUNTY:
Via the United Way of Central AL Pelham Police announced a Shelby County Drop Site for donations to help tornado victims. Salvation Army, 108 Plaza Circle, Suite E, Alabaster. (Across from the YMCA) Needed: bottled water, canned food, toiletries, new clothing only, paper products, plastic tubs.

TRUSSVILLE:

Faith Community Fellowship, 7660 Gadsden Highway, Trussville, AL,
205-655-1574, is collecting plastic storage bins and heavy duty garbage bags to help with storing belongings before the rain later in the week! This is a very important need!!

YMCA, 5920 Valley Road Trussville, AL 35173-1071 is collecting food and water. Nonperishable, canned items, poptarts, granola bars, grab and go items. If you take canned goods...PICK UP A FEW CAN OPENERS. CAN OPENERS ARE REALLY IMPORTANT!! Otherwise, folks are just beating green beans on a rock and that's not cool.
WEST JEFFERSON DROP SPOT: WOMAN ON A MISSION HAS A DROP SPOT AT THE West Jefferson High School- Annex Building. Her son lives in Pinson and can carry things back and forth.

Drop off locations for pet supplies and food. Things needed are Cat litter. Cat food. Dog food. Canned & Dry. Pet treats. Pet carriers. Crates. Bedding. Blankets. Flea/Tick medication. Leashes, collars and harnesses.
